Cable Area Social Connections is here to serve our community. One of the best things we can provide is information. Three categories are presented here: 1) videos, 2) books and publications, and 3) websites of area organizations.

ADRC
Aging & Disability Resource Center of the North (Bayfield County, located in Washburn, WI) helps people understand long-term care options, serves as the access point for publicly-funded long-term care (Family Care and IRIS), helps people apply for programs and benefits.
The Auxilia Initiative
A community-wide Prevention and Early Intervention program for First Responders and the community following crisis and trauma.
Provides comprehensive information about everything happening in the Cable area for visitors as well as full-time residents. A major supporter of CASC and partner in multiple projects. Located in Cable, and always ready to help.
The Town of Cable is a Northwoods community in southern Bayfield County, Wisconsin, with a population of only 190. Known as “Trail Town USA” for its extensive outdoor recreation, it spans 71.4 square miles, sits along U.S. Highway 63 at the intersection with Hwy M.
CARE exists to help our fellow neighbors, friends, community members in and around the greater Cable area in times of crisis or emergency where we are able.
Cable UCC
An open and welcoming community of faith, UCC provides critical outreach including the Senior Lunch, Food Pantry, Medical Equipment Loan Closet, and the weekly 2nd Chapter Thrift Shop.
211 is a one-stop, free, and confidential connection to the local services people need, such as utility assistance, housing, food, elder care, crisis intervention, alcohol and other drug recovery, and much more. In Wisconsin, we are the most comprehensive source of information about local resources and services available. Our regionally based teams understand the nuances of each of the 72 counties throughout the state and provide 100% coverage to Wisconsinites, round the clock. Help is available by phone, text, chat, and online guided searches searchable by location.

The mission of the Northwoods Humane Society (NHS) is to provide a sheltered environment for unwanted animals. NHS will work to find appropriate homes for animals, provide medical care as needed and work to socialize and train to increase their success in a home situation.
