Cable Area Social Connections
A volunteer group in Cable, Wisconsin working on building community connections, reducing loneliness, and communicating opportunities to connect and interact.
This group was formed in August 2023 by a group of Cable residents who recognized the need to address the issue of social isolation in our rural Northern Wisconsin community. We are affiliated withBayfield County Aging and Disabailities Resource Center (ADRC) and the town of Cable.
Our purpose is to increase awareness of the health risks associated with social isolation, identify risk factors affecting our community, and to support and create programs that foster healthy community interactions.
We have a variety of projects and we seek everyone’s input and engagement:
